Best local style poke on the east side. They also have pretty good ginger fried chicken and Japanese deli products. Oddly, they also sell avian pharmaceuticals (bird medicine). Food quality is generally very high, but you shouldn't expect sashimi to be at the level of a dedicated sushi bar. It's not priced their either!Konohiki also rates 10/10 for Covid-19 precautions. They temperature screen and hand sanitize everyone entering the shop, which is more than Wilcox Hospital does, or any other food establishment I've seen in this state. If the CDC took public health as seriously as this little poke takeout shop does, we wouldn't have a national pandemic.

Randy's dad took us here, before we left Kauai to bring the boat back to Kona. 51 years of Hawaii, and I honestly have never been to a better "bento kine" place. So many incredible items...I dunno how they do it. Maybe I gotta think about moving islands! If you go Kauai, you crazy if you no go Konohiki!

Service is good. Food is delicious. Be prepared to wait in a line during lunch hour. Other than that. You get your food pretty quickly

Came here my first day in Kauai because it was recommended by one of the guys running my helicopter tour. We weren't staying nearby, and yet we came twice to get to-go poke bowls for the beach! They also have sushi by the piece and a lot of other food options. SO good -- and they let you sample before you buy! LOVE.

It has a decent variety of food. Was trying to purchase 2 types of poke and they kept scanning it wrong and the price kept going up so I just left. It seemed like something was wrong at the same time of my experience another customer was arguing with the staff about something being wrong

Island quality Poke at half of island prices. Seriously good stuff for an incredible price. It's a bit off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. Get the poke and rice to go and drive 10 minutes back to the beach to enjoy.

Absolutely LOVE this place.

Loved how my husband and I were the only tourist at 7am. We stopped by to pick up wholesome and delicious breakfast and snack before we went to explore waimea. I got the $5 chicken and shrimp bento and it was so tasty. Even my husband, who is a 'I only eat breakfast in the morning and lunch in the afternoon' kind of a guy but he thought the chicken was super flavorful and couldn't stop stealing them! And poke was good. And don't forget poi donuts! They're to die for!

I had a poke bowl that was wonderful. The lady behind the counter recommended a creamy roll. I can't remember what it was, but that was especially delicious. I'll be back, if ever in the area.

If you're looking for a fresh sashimi grade fish - this place is for you. This place is nothing more but a store, so you'll enjoy the meal at the place of your choice but man, I wish we found this place sooner.Delicious!

This place is a hole in the wall, I'm sad for those that visit Kauai and do not stop here because it has the best pokeh! Their spicy tuna converted my husband from a non-seafood lover to demanding that we stop every time we drove by. Once he tasted my dish the first time he ran back inside to get his own. Don't regret not making this stop!

Best kept secret on Kauai. Everything tastes yummy here! Hawaiian deli at its best! Fresh seafood (poke heaven here), crispy fried chicken (To die for), won ton, malasadas, Kalua pig, Lau Lau, and their homemade desserts by the slice (lilikoi chiffon pie!). The line is long, but it goes fast! Clientele are both locals and some tourists. This place is close to the airport. Get your meal(s) here before you go to the airport. We also order and bring Konohiki Seafood Plate Lunches to the beach too. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Open everyday. This place does only takeout. There is no sit down area.

10/10 value. Poke, fried chicken, and fried shrimp all really good. Perfect lunch joint to get some to-go food midday for your day trip.

WOW. Everything we ordered was freaking delicious. Spicy ahi poke was one of the best I've had. The slightly sweeter one (with onions, forgot the name) was also fantastic. Sushi rice was made perfectly with a slight acidity and sweetness. The kalua pork is tender, juicy, and has a subtle smokiness that's perfect. The lomi lomi salmon is refreshing, acidic, and fresh. The macaroni salad is creamy and rich. Wow, I cannot recommend this place enough. It's a humble family owned place. I can't wait to come back to try their laulau and ginger chicken.

They have delicious food and the poke ooh my God it is so delicious also come on down you'll love it cause I did.

Great variety of local foods with reasonable prices. Rice was delicious but fried chicken and spicy lobster were too salty(strong taste) for me. Good overall but they could be improved more.

I would vote for 10 stars if I could. Lets not talk about the food for a second here. The service and the Aloha is where all of this starts. I personally know one of the fisherman, I know a couple of the cashiers and the Aloha that they give is why I keep returning. Now. The fish. And I only go for the fish. Always the best limu poke I have had and now the best smoked swordfish I have ever tasted. I could not put it down. Let along the plate lunches. Hats off to you guys and mahalo for the ono grinds! I went around 10am and not much of a line. It was my first time and got the Chicken & Shrimp Bento, Pumpkin Crunch, and sweet filled Taro malasada was ono!

It is a local gem to visit! Best spicy ahi poke on sushi rice... Fried chicken and fried shrimp taste so yummy and flavourful... Tako salad was delicious... Highlight of our Kauai trip.

This unassuming shop had some of the best raw seafood I've ever tasted. Better than any of the restaurants on the island, and for very low prices

Great Spicy Ahi Poke, and the Lobster Poke is ONO!!! Just expensive, but worth it, the word on the street is this was the Best place on the Island for Poke, but then that person moved on, I still enjoy it. I recommend the SPICY AHI POKE bowl, if you are new to the Poke bowl plates.

Spicy ahi poke was amazing and the price was very reasonable (but to be fair, I come from California). Of note is the fact that there is no seating so you'll have to eat in the car or somewhere else.

This was exactly whaty husband and I were looking for! Local food, great flavors and great service. Wide variety of delicious poke, spam, chicken, and bento boxes. Carry-out only, perfect for beach picnics!

Dropped in to pick up some lunch one Sunday afternoon. I had the poke bowl with the spicy ahi. It was pretty good but the portion is kind of small. BF had the Kalua plate, which he said he enjoyed. This comes with rice, kalua pork, lomi lomi salmon, and poke (but you don't get to choose which one). I'm sure there are better poke places around, but this was the only one in the area that was open past 2pm and on a Sunday.

Great seafood options, bentos, plate lunches, and sushi. They are known for the fried ginger chicken. My favorite is the crab with garlic butter aioli.

I had a spicy ahi poke bowl and it was awesome!
